Silicon Carbide
Silicon Carbide is a hard and sharp abrasive. It is extremely fast-cutting, generating a rough surface finish.The raw materials are silica petroleum coke.
Specification
This product is obtained in the form of the partly finish rock, it is then grounded, chemically treated or untreated according, to type sand graded in accordance with the European F.E.P.A. standards. It is very stable, has high resistance to oxidation and is also unaffected by acids and will only react to alkali at veryhigh temperatures.
APPLICATION
Silicon Carbide is use for cleaning extremely hard surfaces such as tungsten carbide or in
cases whereby a deep cutting action is required to remove a thick layer of material such as
stone cutting or carving
